Providing ministry to ministers who are:
- Burned Out
- In Transition
- In need of Restoration
“Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted. Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” (Galatians 6:1-2 NKJV)
Dear Fellow Co-Workers in Ministry
A quick scan of the major news media sources reveals that scandals involving infidelity and immorality are being exposed almost on a daily basis. It seems that no one is immune including athletes, coaches, politicians, teachers, and yes, even more than we would like to admit, the clergy. Careers and lives are ruined as families are ripped apart in the aftermath of a series of poor decisions by leaders who thought that it would NEVER happen to them.
So what happens to these ministers who have lost everything as a result of a scandal? Does any one of them ever get help to find life once again? Are their lives discarded and left to walk through their shame and darkness on their own? Is there any hope for restoring them back to health and wholeness? Is it even possible for them to
do ministry in the future after a moral failure?
What about their spouses and families; who helps them after a moral crash caused by pornography or adultery or some other form of moral failure?
So what happens to these ministers who have lost everything as a result of a wound caused by people in the church or are burned out from pouring out their lives to others? Does any one of them ever get help to find life once again? Are their lives discarded and left to walk through their brokenness on their own? Is there any hope for restoring them back to health and wholeness? Is it even possible for them to once again have a vibrant ministry after being burned out?
What about their spouses and families; who helps them after watching their spouse get wounded by those they were trying to help?
It is in response to those questions that River of Hope Ministries offers help to bring hope and restoration; specifically to restoring ministers and religious leaders of all denominations who have found themselves broken (self-inflicted or wounded by others) and in need of restoration. We also partner with other ministries to see lives changed by the grace of God.
From one who has had his own marriage go through a restoration process successfully and as one who has walked others through a similar process, I can heartily state; “Yes, there is hope that a broken life can be restored again!”
River of Hope Ministries is here to come alongside you and your situation.
Specifically, we can offer the following to assist you in Restoration:
- Triage after a fall in ministry: “What do I do now that it has happened?”
- Resources and Materials
- Connections with Counselors
- Connections with Other Ministries
- Be a part of the Restoration Team
Because it takes a team to bring restoration, we are also looking for ways to work with other ministries to see lives changed by the grace of God. Here are some helpful resources:
